Democracy is a Joke
The clown show goes on. Ringmaster Starmer has been doing his upmost to pave the way for Farage’s new troupe as the UK edges closer and closer to a full blown fascist state. It just seems depressingly inevitable now. In the lead up to the recent local elections the corporate media gave us a taster of how they´ll smear their new nemesis Zack Polanski. Despite him being Jewish they are still going with the antisemitism angle. Starmer played his role too as the recent Golders Green attacks were used to introduced new measures to tackle this supposed wave of antisemitism. Magically a spare £25 million has been found for this. However, in relation to this case it was conveniently overlooked that a Muslim man was also attacked, yet that didn’t fit the narrative so it was simply ignored or buried. We all know that the real issue is Zionism. On social media we now frequently see reports of police raids, investigations and arrests for anything linked to anti-Zionism or anything that is basically critical of the government. This is being described kindly as overreach. At what point is it just full blown fascism though? Starmer has already done his best to purge the leftists from Labour, continuing Blair’s unfinished business. On top of that, numerous pro-Palestine journalist have been detained under the terrorism act while some politicians seem to be salivating at the idea of curbing the pro-Palestine marches. Naturally a lot of this goes unnoticed by those that obtain their news from the MSM. Anyway, the thing is that we’re sucked into following particular narratives and our attention is drawn away from the real problems such as the very system propping up state and corporate power itself. The MSM and political class work in tandem while there is nothing for them to gain by engaging in discussion surrounding the true nature of things. When you look at the media there are two “left-wing” options in terms of national newspapers and they are The Guardian and The Daily Mirror. But what does it actually mean to say they’re left wing? They´re left wing if left wing is simply supporting whatever is the token left wing part of the day - formerly Labour, now the Greens are taking that crown. It’s just all so tedious! It’s obvious that Labour will continue to collapse because as they’ve abandoned their working class voter base and any remnants of socialism they’ve simply become meaningless, much like the Tories. This is the fundamental problem with this kind of Managed Democracy or Low-intensity Democracy, it’s the perfect tool for the ruling class puppet master to give the impression of something truly democratic. For me the core problem is the media. From the day we’re born until the day we die they are able to poison our minds with their sick ideologies. There is no truly socialist, communist, working class or anarchist newspaper that has anywhere close to the circulation that the others have. Once I would have said that social media was the answer but that too has been brought under control. Recently I’ve been thinking about Mark Fisher’s Acid Communism idea and I think he was onto something about the power of the counterculture spirit of the 60s. Either way, something need to be done as the current model of democracy is a sick joke and we’re the butt of it.
